Italian Long Hots with Parmesan Breadcrumbs

These Italian Long Hot Peppers are spicy, well-seasoned, and topped with a delicious crunchy breadcrumb mixture.

Step 1

Season the Peppers and Coat them in Olive Oil

Use lots of oil and garlic cloves, plus some of dried herbs and spices. Lemon or orange zest are delicious but optional

Step 2

Roast the Long Hot Peppers for One Hour

Stir 2-3 times throughout to make sure all peppers make contact with the oil and none of them burn.

Step 3

Make the Toasted Parmesan Breadcrumbs

This step is really easy and can be completed in 2-3 minutes while the peppers are in the oven.

Step 4

Top the Peppers with the Panko- Parm Mixture

That crunchy topping makes these soft juicy peppers more complex in texture and flavor.
