Holiday Appetizer Idea
These Italian Long Hot Peppers are spicy, well-seasoned, and topped with a delicious crunchy breadcrumb mixture.
Step 1
Use lots of oil and garlic cloves, plus some of dried herbs and spices. Lemon or orange zest are delicious but optional
Step 2
Stir 2-3 times throughout to make sure all peppers make contact with the oil and none of them burn.
Step 3
This step is really easy and can be completed in 2-3 minutes while the peppers are in the oven.
Step 4
That crunchy topping makes these soft juicy peppers more complex in texture and flavor.
Step 5
Don't discard that leftover oil in the bottom of the baking dish. This well-seasoned spicy oil is perfect for dipping bread.
