Italian Veal Parmesan Sandwiches

Perfectly fried veal cutlets, simple tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, basil, and ciabatta. An Italian masterpiece!!

Step 1

Bread the Veal in Flour, Egg, & Parmesan-Seasoned Breadcrumbs

A well-seasoned breadcrumb mixture is what sets Italian fried foods apart from the rest. It's so flavorful.

Step 2

Make a Simple but DELICIOUS Tomato Sauce

A good Veal Parmesan Sandwich MUST have good tomato sauce. Follow my simple recipe and make it all the time.

Step 3

Fry the Veal Cutlets in OLIVE OIL

If you control the heat, the veal won't burn. And you'll get better browning using olive oil.

Step 4

Top Veal Cutlets with Tomato Sauce & Mozzarella and Bake 

Baking gives the veal parmesan that desirable "crispy turned soggy" texture. 

Step 5

Broil for 3-5 minutes, until the mozzarella bubbles

This step isn't 100% necessary, but I love slightly golden brown mozzarella on my Veal Parm Sandwich.

Step 6

Assemble Veal Cutlets on the Ciabatta Bread

This is a large format Veal Parm Sandwich, so assemble then slice each sandwich into 4 pieces.
