This is Wendy. She's 4 years old, and she's a true mutt. For some reason, people feel bad when I say that, so they try to comfort me and tell me "she's all lab", but that's just not the case. I had a purebred lab growing up. Wendy's no purebred anything.
We don't know her DNA composition, but we do know she has traits consistent with retreivers, hounds, shepherds, and pitts. The dog has a massively long tongue, cheetah-like speed, will die before she lets a ball go un-fetched, bites the back of your feet to get some playful attention, loves to swim and hike, and loses her mind when she greets someone she knows.
She also has excellent recall, as long as her ball-fetching instincts haven't taken over... I'm genuinely very sorry to all the Brooklyn doggos who've lost a fetching ball to Wendy. She is quite timid around tall men and is afraid of large objects, especially those that move (think garage doors). And she's cute!
